2011年7月经大学批准成立创新中药实验室，2012年8月基本完成研究团队组建工作，目前成员包括教授1人、副研究员3人、助理实验师1人、博士后5人、博士生6人、硕士生20人。
课题组5名教职工来自不同的高校，3人有海外留学经历，2人取得海外高等院校学历及学位，1人取得国内重点药科大学学历及学位，2人取得本校学历及学位，学缘结构合理。

研究方向
抗病毒及抗耐药菌中药药理机制研究
从事中药及其活性成分抗病毒及抗耐药菌药理作用机制研究。已建立抗病毒（HSV和EV71）筛选平台及基于MgrA靶标蛋白荧光探针的高通量筛选体系，致力于阐明中药抗病毒和抗金黄色葡萄球菌耐药菌活性物质基础，揭示其药效作用机制，发现活性强、毒性小、选择性高的先导化合物。
抗肿瘤中药药理作用机制研究
从事中药及其活性成分抗肿瘤药理作用机制研究。已建立分子、细胞及动物水平的抗肿瘤药物筛选及药效评价模型，重点开展肝癌、前列腺癌及胰腺癌的体内外药效筛选和药效评价，致力于从中草药和天然产物中寻找抗肿瘤先导化合物，阐明其诱导肿瘤细胞凋亡、调节自噬、抑制转移及防止复发等药效作用机制。近年来重点开展中国产藤黄属植物中具有抗肿瘤活性的PPAPs类和xanthones类成分的鉴定及其作用机制研究。
